Prince of persia 2008 launcher problem

when i click the launcher.exe in ubisoft/price of persia/launcher/ , it says this application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect.
any idea to solve this? i tried reinstalling for a few times, but no luck..sigh..

Umm, try to put the launcher in the main directory, ubisoft/prince of persia/
also try to run the direct EXE’s and see if they work..
