Please help me decide the settings I can use for gaming
August 4th, 2016
I just bought a new machine. It is not that great high end of a config as I didn’t have much moolah left after I bought a rig inclined more towards my music production.
Hence, I require a few inputs/advise from this awesome community. Here are the specs of my machine –
2 TB DDR3 HDD
8GB DDR3 Ram
Intel i3
Nvidia GT630 1GB DDR5
(32″ monitor
600W PSU)
I just wanted to know what can be the best (max) settings that I can use to play some of the latest games like COD Black OPs2, The witcher2, Bioshock Infinite etc…
I updated all the drivers but I tried running everything on very high and the games crash after a few minutes. Maybe I am going a bit too high
Thanks a lot in advance
GT630 might be very low card you got.. XD
what resolution are you playing with?
try lowering the resolution and start playing in the lowest setting
hmmm i think your card can only play low to medium setting of those games..
I have kept the resolution at 1900×1200 using a HDMI Cable. I could play left 4 dead 2 at medium settings with 2xantialiasing, trilinear filtering and the fps was good.
Crap I should have gone in for a better card..
quite simply said : If you max all graphic options and the machine crashes / can’t handle it, then the settings are simply too high, you would then need to lower the graphs and find the max detailing where the game does not crash , there is not much you can do with drivers etc. , they cannot boost your card beyond what it is capable of.
But you could overclock your card, but if you do not know what you are doing there, dont do it ….
now u don’t have a choice but to tweak ur game to get maximum performance…try this site..this site describes the each property of graphics and tells u which to set at which level to get gud graphics and FPS…

i hope this will help..
Thank you very much everyone. I will do what all of you have suggested to arrive to an optimal setting for my GPU. I will upgrade in the coming months to a better GPU as well.
