Please Help -Android -Google Nexus 7 -(File Access Question)

In Settings, accidentally hit the “Clear all Searches” button – and it DID. (App store searches, etc. – I do want them back, if possible (long story ).
I have several “advanced” file explorers, but device is not rooted.
Can I recover them? Do I need to root?
If I need to root, I can look it up, but I’m getting a lot of strange answers about rooting Android 4.3. Thanks a lot!
As far as I know, I don’t think so. Because those searches are synced with google servers. and once deleted they are gone.
Reaching Google Support is quite a tedious task.
Anyway, did you erase them from your device or from the Google Account Settings page? If it’s the latter, is right, you can’t recover them, if you’ve only deleted it from the device, you should be able to find them via Google Account, but I can’t remember how Good luck! Cheers
