Please Enter Current password?

my brother gave me a neighbours p.c to look at. it boots up and asks for enter current password?? but there is no password on the system.. it looks like a bios one.
any ideas????
i am thinking remove cmos battery for few mins but i have opened laptop and cant find the bloody thing. i know what one looks like but cant find it. would it looked different than your standard one there is a small circular battery covered with blue cover. its tiny though smaller than a penny.
laptops usually dont have cmos batterys in them.
as for bios password, would be easiest to just ask for it.

if its an old-ish one then it might, but still would be easier to ask them :p

generally, unless people are massively security conscious, they wont change their machines BIOS password as they don’t know about it.
search the model number in google, try the default, and that might work.
