Any know a cheap, easy, cool, way to make a person cloud using a router and an external hard drive without buy any of the fancy pre made ones?

Answer #1
Use an old pc and set it up as an ftp sever. There’s much help on Google
I can attach a usb HDD to my router (Netgear 900) and access it anywhere, same principles as eg. “My Book”
You can access it via your home IP, just use very high ports (hackers go for 80)
What storage amount depends on how you want to do it, and how much you are willing to spend. You don’t need to be tech savvy, just learn a bit of port forwarding etc.
Answer #2
cheap banger of a pc & free NAS as that’s the program used for home network hard disks
EDIT** with online wesight called logmein ( best one as it makes its own pc ip so NO PORT FORDING
