Pen drive’s gone dead :(

August 5th, 2016

I have a Kingston 4GB pendrive..
was working fine till yesterday.
Today i copied some stuff then cancelled it..
wen i opened the drive aftre this, it showed 1.99gb extra space filled than actually was.
so i quick formatted it.
but still all data erased except for that 1.99gb.
So i formatted again (this tym total format)
it was taking too long (20+ minutes and just halfway)
so i cancelled it.
since then i cant even get my pc to atleast read the pendrive..
any ideas to make it work..??

Answer #1
See if disk management sees it.
Right click computer > manage > disk management
Answer #2
Just bin it and buy a new one,They’re very cheap.
Answer #3
Open the command prompt, type diskpart, type list disk, figure out which disk is your USB disk, type select disk (insert disk number here), finally type clean all. It will take some time but after its done you can format your USB stick and it should be like new.

If this fails, its for the bin.

take it to service centre also before binning it!!!
Answer #7
Check the Disk Management, see if your USB is listed there, and try format it but if both doesn’t work then it’s time to get a new one
Answer #8
since you say its new and if its a standard company USB then it would have a warranty period if it does then get it replaced or serviced for free before you start having more problems
Answer #9

will try them all..
hope something works
