Partition an Hard Drive Need Help

Hi all!
I need you help please!
I just came to build a simple rig, and I bought an Hard Drive Sata 500 go.
I had installed win 7 x64 inside,
I want to have 2 separated partition.
I had downloaded paragoon partition manager
select create partition wizard.
Go and check the size needed, then click apply
after it’s asking for restart
after restarting, it shows black screen for 5 mins (is that normal?)
since I am impatient, I had reset it (click the reset button)
and it shows a black screen again,
SO, I had resintalled a new win7 after formatting the drive again.
AFTER ALL, I NEED YOUR HELP AND YOU GUID ABOUT WHAT TO DO IN ORDER TO HAVE A NEW PARTITION FROM THIS HARD DRIVE.
WHICH SOFT TO USE?

what HDD do you have and how big do you want the partitions ? you can do all of this within windows 7 itself without a need of an app or a disk.

it’s Seagate Baracuda 7200,
I want to divide/split this into 2 partition (200 go and the other one is 300 or less)
Please, can you tell me how to procees in windows 7?
