Nvidia 8800 GT Sli

Got 2 8800 GT’s in a SLi Setup.
Vista 64 boots, everything works fine, but when trying to change video settings or trying to start a game in grid(only game tried) the computer literally instantly resets.
Are the cards incompatable? Should I reinstall grid?

I think the problem is you have two different brands. You need the the same brand, and bios version for SLI to work.

one is PNY, the other is EVGA, there is your problem

They’re different brands. You have to have two of the same cards of it to work.

they have to be EXACTLY the same
you should do more research beforr you pay for a top end GFX cards
