No sound – Windows Media Player 10

I click on a mp3 file and media player starts, and i hear nothing…..
I try it with vlc it works, and i hate vlc and love media player
need help. life is boring without music-.-

you probably dont have the right codec installed. d/l the k-lite mega codec pack or some other codec pack and see if it makes any difference. XD

check the setting in wmp to see if it is muted. if not, upgrade to wmp11.

i have k-lite mega codec pack and no its not muted:(

media player plays it, you see the time running ?
or media player just opens ?

if you have the klite mega codec pack then you should have wmp classic. try it on tht and see if it works.

you check your sound control panel to see it anything is mute that should not be
some things need to be muted to prevent noise/static but play the some and try un-muting anything your no sure about
duz that player have any speaker settings in the options

i’ve checked the control panel so i’ve unmuted everything I unmuted/muted those thing that i didn’t understand.
Yes my player has a speaker setting and i’ve changed it to the same device as the other programs i use.
But still no sound
