windows media player error?

ok it says “Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file.”
wat can i do??? it is a .avi video file

the file is being used by another program or maybe u need a better player than wmp try vlc

Windows Media Player gives those errors if it can’t find the correct codec..
VLC is a Media Player that don’t require no codecs…

WMP is for playback only, it isnt related to editing files. U should edit first, then play it.
