No audio
July 29th, 2013
even tho all drivers are up to date i tryed every thing i can think of even reinstalling windows but no luck thank you in advance
It’s simple to know that.
Download this: http://download.fedoraproject.org/pub/fedora/linux/releases/16/Live/i686/Fedora-16-i686-Live-Desktop.iso
Burn it into a CD.
Boot up your PC with CD and then check if sound is working in this other operating system. IF if works then you have a problem with drivers or something. I trully bealive that sound card’s never broke.
You can go to your device manager under Windows and see if some card have a ! in it.
You also need the windows audio service running
net start AudioSrv
The audio troubleshooting wizard should be your first step though
Check here..

And Google “Toshiba protege m600 no sound”..
is shows an audio device in device mgr ?
any unknown devices in device mgr ?

that (services.msc)
& also manually reinstall audio drivers
ED-E how do i get to net start AudioSrv in windows 7
hit
winkey+R
to open a run box
then type in
net start AudioSrv
but that service normally starts automatically if you have an audio device installed

to check device mgr
hit
winkey+R

You could also Dl an ISO for the latest version of M.R.I. and test your hardware. So many options.
