NFS: The run. Crack error

When I copy crack to install dir and run the game it says “File Corrupted” and that file has been manipulated.
HELP!! Without crack a release date checker pops up, but with crack it says file corrupted. I know the crack I downloaded is good because I downloaded different mirrors of it too and they all say the same error message.

You have to run a small exe file that edits registry before you can run the cracked exe. U know about it and have that?

yes i ran the small registry file. It opens with something written in another language so I cant really say if it applied the registry patch.
