I remember using steam many years ago, I was so bad on Counter Strike Source but it was fun, whilst it lasted. anyway..
where’s the best place to get games that I can play online? should I buy or download?? if I download a game for example, C:SS, can I use steam and play online or do I need to do something else?

steam account, then purchase the games you want. you can download from steam servers and also play online since you bought it.
if you download a game, you will probably won’t be able to play online, unless a local host of a friend with the right settings..
as it’s not expensive i’d say just buy it
