So I am developing/designing a site and was wondering if embedding a video from other sites is classed as Copyright Infringement?
Just looking into it and some sites say that unless you have their permission it is infringing.
If it is, to counter it could I put a reference link to the original site? Thanks

If the embed code is available for a youtube video, then the owners have allowed other people to embed their videos.
Like underneath a youtube video.. click Share.. then click Embed. It will give you the code to embed it on another site.
I would also advise to check the: [x] Use old embed code. Because iframes are not really what you want to use on a site.
The old embed code gives the whole flash code that most all browsers support. Iframe code may be blocked by some browsers unless they specifically allow it.
The video owners can disable the embed feature if they do not want it to be embeded.
and of course on youtube, people want more hits obviously.
