New to Facebook

July 31st, 2013

Hi all….
I’m new to Facebook and posted a message on a wall that was for my old workplace. If I log in I can see the message but if I log out…I can’t see the message. What gives? Or how can I make it visible to the public?

Answer #1
I suppose the owner or administrator of the page (your old workplace page) have set the default viewing to ‘Own Post’ instead of ‘Everyone (Most recent)’ whereas it is out of your control.
Answer #2
Thanks for the quick response….I hope He/She fixes it!
Answer #3
No problem. To actually change this setting, the page owner or administrator can click ‘Edit Page’ and change the Wall Tab Shows drop down box from ‘Only Posts by Page’ to ‘All posts’.
Answer #4
Cheers…I thought it might have been something in my profile that was causing it
Edit: I can see Spam but not my message…she/he must not like me…
I can click on ‘Everyone (Most recent)’ but the message still does not appear. Is there a “waiting period”/approval before it’s made public?
Answer #5
I don’t think there’s such approval for pages. But there is approval settings for profile pages.
