Need Suggestion to Buy the cheapest cell phone
July 28th, 2013
I need to buy a cell phone that has GPS, Google Maps and a decent camera. I would prefer the cheapest possible that has the above 3 functionality. I would also prefer Android, but if that inflates the price too high, then I can do without it.
EDIT: Carrier: Unlocked (should be able to work with any SIM card)
Price Range: Cheapest phone capable of the aforementioned 3 capabilities
Region: India.
Thank you very much for your help. I appreciate it.
Kind Regards,
Shah Jahan.

Samsung has a lot of phones to offer that are relatively cheaper and all have the 3 things you require.
Didn’t give much info. Do you have a preferred carrier or does it need to be unlocked? Do you want a contract (as you can get phones cheaper this way)?
Most importantly, what is your price range? What region are you in? What carrier do you have, or are you looking for a new carrier?
My definition of a cheap phone is about $100 bucks. I am using some old 2G crackberry.
My contract just ended so I can re-sign and get the Samsung Captivate Glide for $150 bucks…

I think its a versatile phone at a good price. Dual core 1GHz processor, 512 MB of ram, front and rear facing camera 8MP with 720p video capture/payback. Most important feature to me is the slide out keyboard. I love a real keyboard.
But if you want a solid phone at a solid price, this one has it all. You can install ICS or the upcoming Ubuntu OS on there.
Thank you friends for your help. I appreciate it. I’m now looking onto your suggestions.
I’ve also edited my first post above with more details.
