Need help with autorun..

currently im facing an annoyance with Autorun in W7, im running windows 7…ultimate and the thing is my autorun used to work when i first installed windows but after installing softwares (mainly Windows update) it has stopped working? now i have checked on google where it told me to check my services on control panel, and i have and all ok?
so im baffed?

Look in your registry and delete this key
“NoDriveTypeAutoRun”
Probably here :
1)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
2)
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
