Is downloading albums from .org illegal?
like if for some reason they want to have a crack down on it (would they?)
is it the same as downloading movies?

The nature of http hosted files makes it much more difficult for agencies to ascertain your ip adress and prove you are partaking in illegal up/downloading (harder to get a court order issued to the filehost to release an ip , especialy when they dont know its happening) …. in a torrent however all seeds / peers can openly be seen (so they see it happening) if not ran through a vpn / proxy … as for the legality this is a pirate board after all , do you need to worry about http downloads? …. I wouldn’t.

Using the application is not illegal , though it is to download/upload copyrighted materials regardless of the platform, as with any peer to peer its easy for them to ascertain who is uploading it .. they just need to search and log the ips , I’d avoid peer to peer in general unless I was protected with some of the aforementioned methods.

What u need to know beside legal crap that this is a crime. There always is a risk that ur compter ip will be found by laws while some faggoty action against hacker or smthing and next day in the morning cops will knock to ur doors and take you and ur pc. Reason? “u didnt pay 10x price it should be for normal ppl to buy it but we dont care for poor” If it would happen to me i’d say 20 years or “give the owners back their money”, form 2 i prefer jail then working for free for the res of my life

In a way it’s illegal, because you didn’t pay for it. But you won’t be punished from the police because you download some albums, the ones who made the albums available on the internet for free are on an easy risk.
