MS Office licencing help please…

December 12th, 2013

I have recently “acquired” Office 2010 from here and (foolishly) put it onto my work laptop.
My company are now being audited by the FST and need the Product ID and Licence Key for the Office 2003 that is ‘supposed’ to be on there.
Any ideas with how I get round this one?
Thanks.

Go out and buy it.
Un-install your current copy, re-install the legit copy.
You could get it relatively cheap now anyway – depending on what package you actually want.
Is it really worth being caught and getting sacked? Fair enough, you probably wont get sacked – that would be a bit harsh. But a good telling off.
This might be a huge thing to go against your audit and your company might fail.
Obviously that’s the worst case scenario.
Get your company to buy you Microsoft Office – If it’s a “Work Laptop”, tell your company that you require a copy of Microsoft Office to complete your job.
