movies only coming out in sound?

the movies im downloading are coming out in sound :S my xp worked but this my vista keeps coming out in sound, when i download then open it, opens windows media then plays it lke a music file, it dont show the movie just the sound the movie has:S
anyone help?

This is a codec problem. Try using VLC Media player, it’s very good to play movies.

You want to burn the movies on a DVD?
Then you should download Nero:

And use that program to burn your movies on discs..

Please first of all explain me what you want to do…
First you want to play movies then you want to burn movies…
What do you exactly want and what is the problem.
If you have problems with playing videos just download VLC mediaplayer from the link i posted at the top.
