Metro Last Light – Afterglow Headset CRASH

The Afterglow Universal Wireless Headset, Crashes Metro Last Light. Is there anyway to make the headset act as speakers or something else, that the game may detect it NOT as the Afterglow Headset?

USB headsets usually come with its own sound chips.
It takes over the system default sound output, so your pretty out of luck.
