Masseffect 3 Action key

I have downloaded me3 and started a new game. however when i get to the first
door it wont open. i press space-bar on it but it just wont work for some reason.
i cant open the first-aid kit in the room with the door either. is there a patch for this or something I can do to fix this? any help would be appreciated thanks in advance!

tried changing the key then changing it back ?
are u running the game as admin ?

Changing the key and changing it back does nothing. and i am running the game as an admin. it not that the action key wont work its the fact that
the door there wont give me the option to open it even tho im standing right in front of it pressing the action key.
