Change default Action on Win 7

August 3rd, 2013

I want to know how to change the default action for double clicking a file on Win 7.
In Win XP , i could do it from file types , then open ing the file type , and changing the default action. Wat I actually want to do is this , I am Using Winamp 2.91 ( old version I know , but i have my reasons)
1. If no song is playing ( Winamp is not running) , and I double click an Mp3 file , it should open a new winamp window and play the song. This happens already
2. If Winamp is running , and I double click a mp3 file , it should enqueue it to the playlist
I am having trouble with achieving the second part..
Any help would be nice
THanks

Answer #1
in “Control Panel / Folder Options.” try setting winamp’s default action to “enqueue” and see it DBL clicking the 1st MP3 will still open winamp
Answer #2
Nope mate , it folder options I get the ” File Type” tab , that used to be in XP
If i change winamp’s default action , when i open a file , it enques it to the previous closing playlist
