looking to make budget gaming pc

August 6th, 2016

basically, i’m looking to make a gaming pc for a person on a budget.
im hoping to build a desktop of which i can sell to make a little money for going of to university (bachelor of computer sciences, go figure), i am looking for sites that have quality parts at cheaper prices.
i am also looking for site(s) that will help me determine what each motherboard can handle.
i am in australia, so naturally i would prefer aussie sites but i will accept other sites.

What’s your budget?
MSY is my prefered shop as its shop is full of customers almost everyday.
A decent PC goes about 1200 NZD, from what I can see and is about 947 AUD approx.
That amount of cash will get you:
AMD Athlon II X4 620
AMD 785G or AMD 770 motherboard
2×2 GB DDR3 1333 memory. Nvidia GT240 or AMD 4850
Generic case with 500W PSU.
1TB Samsung HDD.

yeah whats your budget.. and id suggest centrecom i recently (a few weeks back) built a new comp and brought all my parts from there, infact if you live near one of the shops id suggest just going in and telling them your budget and asking them make one for you.. or atleast pick all the parts.
I have a friend who brought all his parts for his comp from there, and iv also made 2 comps with all parts coming from there. one of which they just through together for me on the budget i had asked for

well the MSY i found doesn’t exactly look like a site i would trust.
that centreCom actually looks pretty good, i found an excellent motherboard on there that is $15-$20 lower than RRP.
edit: forgot to ask, does the price include shipping or do i need to find it somewhere else. im a NSW lad so its a little far for me.

I go to their shops. There isn’t much of trust issues with the computer market.
You can go to the even cheaper route, but yeah, the computer will be hard to sell if you got tired of it.

unfortunately, i haven’t even heard of any of the NSW areas (cept one but its soooo far away) so buying from MSY seems to be an unlikely option
