Looking for mains alternative for Alienware m9700

Ive lost my power cable and wondering if there is anyone who knows another cable which would be compatiable and where I can buy it, iv checked ebay and amazon but they start at about 40 euro for a third party cable and 80 euro for an official one, is there nothing cheaper out there?
just googled as well, seems those things are pretty pricy …. What to do in such a case , if you have a good household insurance : claim it ….
