Hey i just installed Ubuntu Linux and im having a bit of trouble getting hang of installing crap.
I want RAR but it sucks at installing so can someone help me out here?

it’s easy actually u can download the source and compile or use apt-get

what is a terminal window? lol Open a terminal window and type in:
sudo apt-get install rar
sudo ln -fs /usr/bin/rar /usr/bin/unrar
wtf?

On Ubuntu, the terminal window app is located on the top menu bar under, “Applications – Accessories” and is called “Terminal”.
just like in windows start>>run>cmd window

thanks, i typed the top line in, pressed enter
it says it installed it, but nothing shows that it has
i try typing in the bottom line and press enter and it says unknown command?
wtF?
