laptop flickers

i got hp dv6000 and the laptop broken might be a loos wire like if anyone knows that laptop sorry if i describe wrong but like the bottom of the screen where it connects to the other part of the laptop to like circle lube looking things looks like a loose wire or something and when i jiggle it around it makes the screen go back to normal but then like after a while or if it gets moved around it will dim and flicker the light back up so like anyway to fix that myself or should i send it where or what? best buy any good or what?

yeh if its under warranty DO NOT open it, just get the seller to fix it

ok but i use my laptop for school so i cant really send it away for long period of time

Is your laptop under warranty? If you can afford it, I suggest you get the extended warranty with accidental damage coverage. I have a DV9000 series notebook and bought the extra protection. Part of the warranty is next day pickup/repair, so you get the notebook back very fast.
