Lag problem in new Hot Pursuit?

July 26th, 2016

Hey guys! I just recenly got the new Hot Pursuit game from Need for Speed and let me tell you, it is nice! However, I thought the “15 FPS” bug was only for Black Ops. Nope. NFS:HP has the same problem. I can play the game at 60 fps at all times, but, every 10 seconds, the game drops to the range of 8-17fps. Is there perhaps a fix to this? I cleaned out my computer and everything so it’s as good as new…

hiey guys
first of all thanks for ur hard work. I figured u must now about games and i would appreciate some help. I am really a big fan of pc over consoles and guys like u with ur enthusiasm is one big reason. but i have an issue.
I have a pc of:
asrock g32m-gs mobo
4gig ddr2 ram 7.1 on win experience index
q8600 cpu 7.1
hd4890 gpu 7.3
wd caviar blue 5.9
24` monitor
I am using rockers team win7 freshly installed updated drivers, no OC, gaming is the only thing i am using it
Sorry to be lenghty
normally i try running games at 1600*1200 and all settings on the highest.
my problem is that the fps i got on the following games
NFS hot pursuit 2010- 20 fps regardless of settings
Black ops 16 fps
Mafia 2 25-35 fps
Lost Planet 2 25-35 fps
-for nfs for example the gpu runs at 99% but the cpu never goes really higher than 50-60%, the ram usage is way below the max available and my question is if ther is anything i can do to use more cpu power and run the system more efficiently get more fps or this is what i should expect from my system and these things are expected from this config.
-also do u think that the hdd, having lower rating than the others could effect anything
finally, if u are still reading , could u suggest a site or something on how to configure the pc for most ideally for gaming, also if programs like game booster are working for real or not.
Sorry to keep u up but ur help would really make my day.
Keep up the good work

Okay peepz, I got it working! I just started the game back up and it’s lightning fast! Dunno what I did but, yeah. lol. Polgar, I personally own GameBoster and AdvancedSystem Care. Use the Turbo Mode and Advanced System care, it makes loads and everything in-game much faster. It did for me, so, hopefully it works for you. I have a system spec about 50% of yours haha. I have:
FoxConn Mobo
2 Gigs DDR2 Ram
Intel Dual Core proc.
9800 GT GFX Card
250 Gig HD
17 In. Monitor and using XP. I can run Resident Evil 5 55-60 fps, Hot Pursuit at about 48-52 fps, Black Ops at around 50-60 FPS, Cod4 a perfect 60, Split/Second a perfect 60, and Need for Speed SHIFT around 55-60 FPS. Using the ASC Booster will really help, just give it a try!

Few people got the lag fixed by setting affinity to 1 processor. Just try it
Check my NFS posts, There are couple of fixes. You might find something handy? Wink
