Kindle Question from a BOOK book person

October 1st, 2013

Hello & Merry Christmas all !
My question-
I have books already on my computer, some are in microsoft reader format with a txt format and then one I downloaded today which has many parts .. such as .fb2, .lrf, .pdb, .lit, .mobi.. Very confusing for me.. which files do I have to move to my Kindle to read the book? All of the files or just one particular one?
Thank You !!!! ( I’m an old dog, used to BOOK books, but I’m ready to give this Kindle thing a whirl )

Friend you need to start reading HERE: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amazon_Kindle#File_formats
Then after you realise wich version of kindle you have and what formats that version support you need to get a work around IF it dont support some file that you want. If so you can always convert them to PDF. In example there are some books that came in “windows help” format (like this one http://www.123petsoftware.com/images/screenshots/helpsystem.jpg). You CAN convert them easily to PDF wich kindle 2 support (and is the best option really).
About those wieard lrf, .pdb, .lit, .mobi.. formats my opinion is delete them and download again some better version like pdf here from warezz bb. In fact here in warez bb you can download almost every book in pdf or “windows help” (those 2 are the most common).
