Key logger?

January 20th, 2020

So I think I may have a possible key logger on my computer. Supposedly some versions of Nod32 Business Edition, found here on , contain key loggers. I read that the key logger was a “pad with a pen” icon. Please view my picture so you can see what I am referencing. This is my windows\system32\sys folder. Image
Also, here is the link to the nod32 file:

Anyways, what should I do? I used an older version of Nod32, but uninstalled it for this version. Is there another anti-software that I can use that is as good/better than Nod32? Please help me! Thanks!

Answer #2
I’ve heard that it is. I uninstalled it and installed KIS 2009. Should be better now But beware guys.
Answer #3

NOD32 does NOT pick it up, I have no idea why.. such a great AV, but won’t pickup something as public as that…

Ok, so I still have this program in my sys folder. I used Kaspersky IS 2009 to scan it, and it came back negative. I googled ‘AKV’ and came back with information here: http://www.auditmypc.com/process/akv.asp
This site says that the key logger is only in if you have the “akv.exe” process running. I went to my processes and I don’t have it running, the image I showed above is still the same. Think maybe it is not a keylogger? Why wouldn’t Kaspersky pick it up? I need help

Now what I want to know is what did you download that gave that to you.

I indicated in my first post that I downloaded a nod32 Business Edition from W-BB. The link to the topic is under the picture I provided.

And thats is why you dont use NOD32 or install cracked antivirus. Good thing you picked it up, feel bad for all those people that downloaded it they are probably not aware of it.
To make sure your pretty clean look at my virus removal tutorial (LINK IN SIGGY) in Step 7 theres several free online web scanners, scan with some

The way your first post was worded I thought you did have NOD and it did not detect the keylogger.
Well that sucks.

Thanks, I will use one of those scanners. Would you recommend then that I remove the KIS 2009? I’ve had this laptop for about 3 years now and my antivirus software expired a long time ago.

I didn’t mean to sound harsh; I did have nod32 installed, I installed another version, and the new version had the key logger.
