Kaspersky Trial Reset problem
August 5th, 2016
I’ve been using a batch script to reset KTS2016 license back to 30 days. After 24hours, it tells me the messages appearing above. How to fix it? Why is it doing it? I don’t want to use KTR, which is detected as a virus, even if that’s false positive. I’ve tried changing the last 4 figures in PCID in the registry, doesn’t help too. I disabled self-defense, and closed Kaspersky, as required. Also removed the trial key. For some reason, it gives back the same key ID, even if I’m changing the IP.

I forgot, the script’s code is:
reg add "HKLM\SOFTWARE\KasperskyLab\AVP16.0.0\settings" /v Ins_InitMode /d "1" /t REG_DWORD /f RD /S /Q "C:\ProgramData\Kaspersky Lab\AVP16.0.0\Report" REG DELETE HKLM\SOFTWARE\KasperskyLab\LicStrg /f REG DELETE HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SystemCertificates\SPC /f

Don’t use KTR and use this sh.it. Of course that is false positive and of course that is detected like a virus because is the best tool for cracking their software.
If you choose the use KTR at the and, my advice is to keep it in .rar file and start it directly from archive. If you don’t want, than I can’t help you.

That is the exact same thing I do. I extract it (keep the rar file) then run the reset. As Kaspersky is loading I delete the file (keeping the rar) and same next time. That way you always have a copy
@ About the rar, you can’t start an app as Administrator from WinRAR. The script was published on the forum. Link:

“because is the best tool for cracking their software” – I don’t understand what it has to do with the detection as virus. The only thing it could imply is that it changes some core files.
I have KIS for 10 years. when you unrar the file for cracking its file, for sure it will have that crack in their malicious base….but if you don’t unpack it there will be no problems. If you unpack it it will become virus because it is crack for their own software, of course they will add it to the black list. Run it from rar and it will be no errors or alarms.
I assume that you crack it properly…disable self defense and exit from tray before reset? When you exit Kis and run krt Windows defender don’t detect it like a virus, right?

You don’t have to extract it at all, run it directly from rar.
As far as I know, Kaspersky check archives too, SFXs too, even kinds that cannot be easily opened by WinRAR and other archive managers. The crack leads only to a warning, for me, and it can’t be opened while protection is on (gets block, Windows claim the location doesn’t exist).
Windows Defender (activated when no other antivirus is working on background) also warn about the file, they have no interest involved here.
Again, the file requires Administrator access (that UAC dialog). You can’t open it as Administrator from WinRAR. At least, for me, it doesn’t work.
Still, it doesn’t explains why is it detected as a virus. I know sometimes it identifies ordinary files as viruses, still, this is a file that requires the antivirus to be shut down, and makes changes in it, and other settings around the computer, registry, maybe even DLLs. I ran it today, because now Kaspersky decided not to let me reset the trial again (for 24 hours, although it should be for 30 days, as happened a couple of time, the last few days).
I had KRT version for KIS 2015, today when I recorded this, that KRT didn’t work and I had to download new version.
People that makes software are not stupid and they know that crack for t6heir product is behind his backs.
As windows and software develops, develops is cracks also. Even if Defender get it like a virus that is just another blacklisted software for cracking their products. For UAC and Admin privileges, you must to pass serious noob training.
For this matter, be free and run KRT, you will solve the problem and nothing won’t ruin your pc. Just be careful with downloads because that is the risk, or if you want I’ll send you my copy.
About the UAC, if you refer for cancelling these messages entirely – I’m not interested doing so. I want to know when a software wants higher privileges. WinRAR will ask for it, only when the software needs it automatically when starting it (or while running it, in some cases), unlike CMD, for instance, which requires to force it to run as Administrator. Otherwise, explain yourself.
Some of your pharsing wasn’t so clear.
English is not my native language so I apologize if you misunderstood me.
1. UAC is for kids.
2. I have crack for KIS and it is not virus.
3. If you want I can send you that crack.
4. Every AV will detected crack as virus because is blacklisted. Crack for their software is more than virus for them.

Suddenly I started to get same error as OP. I used kis 2013 for 3 years using the bat script. I guess they figured out a way to block it.
frys link is $59.95 for me. I would surely buy it for 9.99. It is 40$ in kasperskys own site
if KTR has a virus, running exe from war wont make any difference. all that does is extract it to a temp folder. it will run the same exe. dont ever think that keeps you safe
