Is there Android app that can make highlights to Epub – so highlights also visible in Windows?

August 5th, 2016

I like to read Epub documents on my Android reader apps. While I study, I make lots of highlights & notes.
The problem is that all my Android apps keep the highlights/notes within their own programs.
So when I open these same marked-up Epub documents in Windows…my highlights/notes are not visible.
Can anyone tell me an Android app that can be used to make highlights/notes on Epub documents…which will also be visible when the file is opened in Windows?

Never heard of one that preserves across devices.

I did some extra research tonight and discovered that Epubs are likely not able to save highlights within the files themselves (PDF’s, on the other hand, are able to). That is why every app has its own highlighting/notes solution.
So now I am going to look for an app that can export highlights/notes in the best way possible. One app that looks decent is “pocketbook” for Android. It exports highlights/notes to XHTML with page number, highlight, and notes in seperate colored boxes.
I will see if there are others with perhaps better export features.
