iPhone 3G will work slow on iOS 4.1 if you don’t turn off Homescreen wallpaper…….

Downgrade to 3.1.3 using this tutorial ( cuz you are on 3G don’t worry about SHSHs blobs you don’t need that for 3.1.3 but for any case just edit hosts file )

i have a 3g iphone running 4.1 with custom homescreen wallpaper and its fine
install SBsettings in cydia and use this to close programs that arent getting used (processes tab) then click free up memory and it will pick up even more

use redsnow with the 3.0 or 3.1.3 firmware

so after i downloaded tiny umbrella i connect to the servver tts and then it’s keep connecting telling me that it acceptng my connection and nothings happens

1. You will restore it with iTunes
2. You can edit HOSTs file opening Notepad and find hosts file or if you are on Windows 7 run as administrator notepad and thats is…
3. You can save only for latest FW and that doesn’t mean anything to you.

Like I said YOU CAN only save for latest active FW on iTunes, it’s not possible to do that for previous versions.
Just run TinyUmbrella, connect device and click on Save My SHSH
How TU works.. well thats too complicated for you, so don’t bother.

1. Download TinyUmbrella, plug in device, wait few seconds to detect it and click on Save my SHSH ( and it’s done, after few seconds TU will save 4.1 SHSHs blobs ).
2. Are you on Windows XP or Windows 7? Windows users can just run notpad, open hosts file, edit and save, windows 7 users NEED TO RUN NOTEPAD AS ADMINISTRATOR ( right click and run as administrator ) and thats it, you can edit hosts file and save..
