iPad question?

I wanna get an iPad, I already have an iPod touch, I was wondering with the iPad do you need a data plan to go online to surf the internet? I have Wifi that I use on my iPod touch and my internet of course.

You can use wifi, but if you want to be able to acces the internet everywhere you go then yes you’ll need a dataplan.

Yes you do if you want to get online outside of a wifi zone.
If you just want to use wifi, then no.
My question is for you: what is the purpose of ipad? Like what do you do with it?
