Internet Explorer 7 Not Responding

February 3rd, 2020

Sometimes when i open up multiple tabs on Internet Explorer 7, IE 7 just stops responding. Even when i hit the X button on the top right corner, it does nothing and the “Not Responding” thingy comes up and i have to close IE 7 (which i lose all the tabs that i open).
I did a little research and found that it is caused by a activex add-on. tested IE 7 with no add-on, IE 7 works fine, add add-on, IE 7 freezes. tested add-on’s one by one and found out that the add-on “shockwave flash object” is the one causing IE 7 to freeze so i disable it. BUT now i can look at somethings online (like youtube). Is there a way to fix this so i can go on sites that use this add-on without freezeing IE 7?
(i have about 5 computers and the other 4 works fine with shockwave flash object enable, only my laptop has this problem)
Please don’t recommand using mozilla.

sometimes if a computer has bad specs, it will do this problem with add ons. please post your system requirements!
did it always do it? if not, you can completely uninstall it and reinstall again and see if it will work. one way to completely uninstall something is the program called “your uninstaller”…. here is a link to the latest version:

this problem did not occur when i first got the laptop. it started like 4 months ago and i just ingored it until i can’t take it anymore. Im not sure what you meant by post my system requirement so i just right click my computer and properties. (i hope this is what you meant)
also for the program “your uninstaller,” should i use it on the add-on (shockwave flash object) or on IE7?

hmm your computer specs seem to be good to run IE7. try using your uninstaller on IE7 itself and reinstall.
