If I press <shift 2> on my keyboard it returns (“

Whenever I press <shift 2> on my keyboard it returns the symbol ” instead of @ and can anyone help me rectify this problem?

Go into the Control Panel and click on Regional and Language Settings. Make
sure that you, the PC and the Keyboard are all located in the same country.

Your keyboard is set as United Kingdom or something similar and you need it in the US layout
