Ideas for web hosting

I am thinking of putting together a site for sharing movies and music for people with similar interests to mine in a forum type enviornment. It will probably end up being alot like this place but on a smaller scale and would most likely end up have an adult section.
While searching for web hosts most all of them that I found had terms of service that did not allow forums linking to copywritten content. Is this something that I should worry about if I keep the site small? Are there any realistic alternatives to these bigger more popular hosting services?
Is there any way to keep forum content hidden from the host?
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Nope your host can and will at all times check you content.
As soon as they get one “pain in da ass” who reports your forum or post to them, you can be pretty sure your site will be shut down.
You could go with offshore hosting, but you’ll pay a bit more

Yeh i heard offshore hosting is good for that though i thought that if you actually ‘paid’ for decent hosting, you could do what you wanted with your space…apparently not i see
