I can’t play DVD on windows media player in windows 8

When I choose default program for autoplay DVD movies, I can choose only play with Windows media center.

i have just read the windows 8 doen’t support dvd playback on windows media player i am not sure if this is true but its just what ive read.
It works only with Media center.
