I am a new user and need a bit of help. I have successfully downloaded an .AVI movie and got it to play on my PC, and also created a DVD which works on my DVD player. The second movie I downloaded was an MKV file. I realised this needed converting and have done this successfully however it is a bit of a hassle. Is there any way that I can tell from the subject line of the post in the movie section if the file to be downloaded is in .AVI format as this is much easier for me. Apologies for my ignorance but this is new to me.
Answer #1
To play use VLC or MPC w/ K-Lite Codec Pack.
To burn, use ConvertXtoDVD.
Answer #2
Just take a look at NFO… It say’s all!
Answer #3
Yes there is often some info written above the screen shots or in an nfo screenshot.
Look at the title of the movie…If it say DivX or Xvid, then it should be an .avi file..
If it says x264, 720p or 1080p it will probably be .mkv
