I accidentally blocked a website.

January 21st, 2020

Well I decided to piss my girlfriend off and blocked some of her websites…
Little did I know that would piss her off…
I used a random program that I cannot remember.
I checked internet Options under blocked sites and the website isnt in there.
I tries to log into the Modem and it didn’t have a block/unblock list that I could see.
Looking for some help on unblocking these websites…
lol

Answer #1
Go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc and locate the hosts file , rename it to hosts.txt and open with a text editor , check the hosts file for references to the blocked sites and remove the lines.
you may have to go to tools folder options and untick hide extension for known file types in order to edit it , though it has no extension so you may not.
Or if you dont want to do any of that , download hijack this , and under miscelaneous tools choose hosts file editor , and remove the line with a simple click .
regards.
edit: find better ways to piss her off , specialy if you cant fix it
let us know if it works.

I found the file.
And the website that I want unblocked.
But when I delete the website and try to unblock it it says it cannot save the file
Then I save it as a .txt file and its 2 separate files.
Original file is unchanged.
But I also have a hosts.txt file that isnt changed.
The one I need to be changed and Saved I cannot save.
Its a File.
Thats the file type.

Not a bother my pleasure.
She said no sex until I had it unblocked.
It went 1 and a half months and then I had to ask around.
Couldn’t figure it out for the life of me.
Thanks again.
You saved my ass big time.
