I had the same problem of unlocking Hitachi hard drive. I was tired of finding the sources. But pc3000 hdd repair may help you to unlock the hitachi hard drive but it is not free software. I have contacted Hitachi comapany there answer is below.
Thank you for contacting our Hitachi Technical Support Center.
The password function of a drive is a powerful Security Feature. If a
password has been set on the drive, and you now no longer know the
password, then you will be unable to access
the data or the drive.
As this is a Security Feature designed to prevent unauthorised access to
the drive, Hitachi will be unable to assist you further with this request.
We can neither replace your hard drive as it is an OEM item. We advise
you to contact the shop where you bought the Aser laptop or the Aser
manufacturer.

if you havent sorted it yet…..
take out the CMOS battery on the motherboard. it looks like a watch battery. then turn on your laptop and leave it on for 15 mins turn it off again and put back in the battery. all passwords should be disabled. if not take out the battery and leave it out. it is not really important if you dont need passwords on your laptop
