How to make 4×4 Bassline?

I realise that many of you won’t understand what this is, but for those of you that do – have you any idea on how to make 4×4 basslines? I need advice from the very beginning of the process, for example, what instruments (if any) are used, then how are the effects applied etc?

1- Download a VSTi called ‘Massive’ ….its made by a company called Native Instruments and im sure you will be able to find it on this site or torrents.

yeah i know that tutorial was a dub step tune, but what i meant was that the bass settings on massive are the same of what u would use for a bassline tune.
