depends how much you’re willing to convert Every 100MB that needs conversion will take 200MB (up & download)
1 account: 5GB a day = 150 GB a month
wow omg didn’t realise it was you SolidSlide. The reason i made this thread was because i was first interested in helping the RS.COM premium conversioon team (Your thread), so i left a message and a PM, but got no reply…….. Are you recruiting?
Answer #4
The people that do that is great, but still, members should just buy an account isntead of making other members work for them, ya dig?

You might have noticed the topic is locked temporarily See the amount of requests makes it impossible to cover it with Expired account direct link bandwith… So we need to find another way to convert links, and an ftp host with a crapload of bandwith seems to be the only answer to that problem.
Yeah I saw Still, anyway I can contribute?
Yeah I know, but some people have reasons for why they can not get an account.

Just wondering?

It’s very nice of you to make such an offer mate. The fact that you want to help others is admirable. However, like SolidSlide said, it’s no easy task. The main problem is the space and bandwidth requirements. Converting the links would require a vast amount of HDD space and an even greater amount of bandwidth. Considering the fact that the script won’t be based on a p2p system where you require users to upload as much as they download, you’ll need to take the full burden. Also don’t forget that slow download speeds won’t make you very popular among service users so you’d probably want to get a high speed connection for your server.Even if you do find a server which would provide you with enough disk space, enough bandwidth and a fast enough connection don’t forget that you would be uploading copyrighted material and aiding people in getting it. This would put you at great legal risk. Again, it is admirable that you want to help others and it really is appreciated. Good luck mate ^^
