Not possible..You need a partition for each OS..
Install XP first..

I dont think it matters what order you install them.. But different partitions or drives needed for each OS!
Always install the oldest first and then the newest, that’s the rules otherwise you will need to mess up with 3rd party software. Each OS needs it’s own partition
You can always install win xp inside virtualbox or a bootable pen drive.
Yep, for a normal full install you need separate partitions for each.
If necessary, you could use something like Acronis Disk Director
to shrink existing partitions and make a new one..
All of the above answers are correct mandeep, except DO NOT put more than one partition on a SSD (Solid state drive) as it will cause problems you don’t want.
Have a read here as an answer…

I mainly use XP Pro as it’s very stable, and I have some peripherals that do not have later drivers and can receive security updates still for “Embedded POS” until 2019 (I think they mean point of sale, not “piece of sh*t”, lolz)

The Microsoft website has most of the answers you need, and so does Google (and other search engines like Bing, Yahoo etc) to point you in the right direction
Depending on the amount of apps you are going to install will decide how big your partition or seperate drive needs to be. As suggested Acronis Disk Director is one of the best apps, I use it all the time, and is easy to use (I would recommend backing up any important info first though.
For a more detailed response, you would need to give us an idea of your pc specs, such as SSD’s, HDD’s, amount of RAM, motherboard would be handy too – esp to see if you can run USB 3.0 and at what speed. Also tell us what multi-boot setup you would like, eg. on this laptop I have XP Pro, Win 7, and Win 10, and a linux flavour (they are about the best candidates to use stability wise). There are also a wide range of 3rd party apps to use as well, as mentioned above – some good, some bad (like Windows)
Hope that helps ? If you need more help just ask
Good luck !!!
If you are running at least windows 7 professional or higher, you can use XP Mode to run XP inside windows 7.
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/install-and-use-windows-xp-mode-in-windows-7
From the link above..
Windows XP Mode was primarily designed to help businesses move from Windows XP to Windows 7. It isn't optimized for graphic-intensive programs such as 3D games, nor is it well suited for programs with hardware requirements such as TV tuners.
Found that myself….Runs weird with video and graphics..
@: the OP didn’t mention what they were gonna do with each OS..just that they wanted both OS’s on same partition, and XP Mode would fill that request……but, you are very much correct that it definitely isn’t the optimal way to have both OS’s performing to their peak performance.
1: you can NOT install different OS’s to the SAME partition, that is a fact.
2: you can shrink a partition and then create a dual boot like xp AND 7.
3: Google easybcd, too. then read on dual booting.
4: ~ censored ~ windows, get a good OS, OSX or Linux.
5: ???
6: profit.
