How to get IDM to work with rapidshare

July 29th, 2013

forgive my noob question, but i cant seem to get idm to work properly with rapidshare, added site logins as http, https etc to the options menu, but i just cant add links, i have to manually go on each link for them to work with idm,can anyone help me,i’m stumped
EDIT:Its actually working with some links and not others

Answer #1
Enable DIRECT LINK in Rapidshare account (or disable)..
In IDM choose option Automatically start downloading URLs after being copied to clipboard
And that should work…
One more thing, check if links are live or not (dead)!
Check this too

Answer #4
yea,links are alive,direct download is active,still getting problems,dunno why!
Answer #5
ok,did some more diggin, direct links with HTTP are not working but the HTTPS are working,i have both saved in site login(HTTP.rapidshare.come and HTTP.*.rapidshare.com),which is weird, username and passwords are correct, triple checked them.Any more suggestions guys?
the http links,i’m not getting my full speed or resume capabilities, but https works fine
Answer #6
If that is really how you entered it, you entered at least one of those workarounds wrong.
Answer #7
^no,i uninstalled idm, installed a newer version, same problem, cannot get full speed from http links,if i take the same link and add the S to it as in HTTPS,it works fine.i have no idea what the hell is going on.
Answer #8
Can you use IDM to download from any other hosting sites? If not it could be an integration issue, I’ve had this problem a few times with Chrome.
Answer #9
^used it when i had a filesonic account,no issues whatsoever then, but i am currently using chrome as well, any info as how you got it to work properly? i noticed now,the HTTP sites dont give me full speed or resume capability, but when i actually pause the download, and resume it,i get full speed and the resume dialogue reads YES instead of NO from before.weird.
Answer #10
I never did get it working again with Chrome so I went back to using the latest version of Firefox and had the same problem on there, but it was solved by downloading an extension file or something I found on the IDM website.
As for Chrome, try this:
http://jaxov.com/2009/07/how-to-use-integrate-internet-download-manager-idm-in-google-chrome/
It didn’t work for me personally, but maybe you’ll have better luck with it.
I know how annoying it is having to download like an entire TV show one episode at a time, it really pissed me off.
Sorry I can’t be of anymore help.
