How to get Good Quality Image of a DVD Movie?

July 31st, 2013

Hello,
I want to get a Good Quality Screen Shot Image of the DVD Movies I have in my collection.
I tried Media Player Classic with K-Lite codec Pack. But the quality is not very satisfiing. Can somebody suggest me a good program for making High Quality Image from Video Movies.
Thanks.

How about VLC screenshot. Video-take snapshot.

DVD’s are usually anamorphic and MPC will only take screencaps of the source resolution which for DVD is either 720×576 (pal) or 720×480 (ntsc). What is needed are caps of the displayed resolution ie 1024×576 or 854×480.
I use KMPlayer to do this, PotPlayer should also be able to do it. You will have to activate the advanced menu options before doing it.
