How to download 1080p quality videos from Youtube?

A long time ago, I could download from youtube videos in HD (1080p) with jdownloader, but now jdownloader only shows 720P links (and lower resolutions). Is there a way to download 1080p again?

And IDM still works on 80% of YT vids.
They keep changing their coding to stop downloaders.

Masstube gets all versions – if you can find a working version. It is free but only the donation version gives you the 1080 I believe. Search here and I think I ran into a few posts.

Have been downloading with IDM for an very long time now. Work perfectly brother
Watch youtube. An “Download this video” option in blue will appear. Click on it and it will give you option on what you want to download like 720 or 1080 etc.

I have no problem using jdownloader 2. Which one do you use? If you use classic, switch to jd2. Also, if you want to try an indepedent tool I’d recommend xvideoservicethief. Very clean GUI and frequently updated.

I been using the youtube video downloader where you put ‘kiss’ in front of youtube. Example: http://kissyoutube.com/watch?v=dXP2GdqYCOM.
Please remember to double check that all your links have been coded. #3.10 links must be coded - including, but not limited to, e-mail addresses, passwords and internal links.

No use of downloading 1080p, only the video experience will be great, but with audio experience you will not be that much satisfied, as yt streams only upto 256Kbps audio.
