How to create an ISO file from a USB stick?

February 7th, 2020

Hello,
Let’s say I created a Windows USB using Rufus, but now I want to create an ISO file from the same Windows USB that I have already created.
Is that possible?
if yes, how can I do it?

Answer #1
I haven’t tried this but a tool like ImgBurn should be able to make the ISO from a drive… it can from cd/dvd so it probably can from a usb too.
Answer #2
install ISO software to make “ISO” images
UltraISO, PowerISO, Majic ISO to name a few

Yep, ImgBurn will do the trick.
Select ‘Create Image File From Files/Folders’.
For ‘Source’, browse and select your USB drive.
For ‘Destination’ browse to a folder you want it in and make up a file name for it.
If it asks to make it all ‘UDF’, say yes.
If it asks if you want it bootable, just ignore it, because in this case, it already is..

If you want to boot from it, you can put it on a stick with ‘Rufus’.

This should work, too.
