how to create a bootable recovery DVD

Hey guys can you tell me a application that allow me to create a iso image and burn it to a DVD to make a DVD recovery. I don’t want that my recovery be in the PC Hard drive, as usually, i want it in DVD single or maybe dual layer.
I already tried acronis true image, but is not what i want.
I’m using windows xp.

Simple just create a footprint, I have always used Norton Ghost. Works great.

you can use Norton Ghost to create a recovery image or back-up image and have it splitted (Ghost does it) to a DVD disc
