How much temperature can my CPU take?
August 13th, 2013
I have overclocked it, now it runs on 2300Mhz. Now when i only browse the internet, the temperature is 35 celsius. Is this safe? I don’t know the temperature when i’m playing.
At how much heat can a CPU be killed?
Thanx for the answer.
Greetings: Collinsvok
35 is fine. you should check the temp when playing though

35° C is perfectly fine.
I’d start paying more attention when the temperature reaches 80° C or more.
cpuworld might have its info
Thanks for the quick help
I have installed the Speedfan software, but it gives me strange tempeartures, the nForce2 SMBus is 127 C hot with overclock , then without overcklock the same
The tenpeartures:

I prefer to use Coretemp, some guys like HWmonitor.
Boiling water?, touch to confirm.
I think the 220 or 230 FSB is optimal for this cpu, at 250 FSB, the 3d test was not completed because of system reboot.
Thanks again for help
35-40° C is fine. dnt worry about that.
on my system its set that once the Cpu hits 80 Degree’s Celcius it shuts down by itself
If your concerned, invest in better CPU cooling?
